Approval flow

Finished work goes for review — who approves, and what happens on rejection.

Some work needs checking once it is finished. With an approval flow in place, marking a task “done” does not close it — it goes to the approver.

  1. 1The assignee finishes the work and changes the status.
  2. 2The task lands in the approver's “Approvals” list and they get notified.
  3. 3The approver approves — the task closes.
  4. 4Or rejects it with a reason — the task returns to the assignee and the reason is added as a comment.
A rejection reason is mandatory, so the assignee knows what to fix.
